Web site design, copy writing, brand development and site maintenance for new small business.
The purpose of this site was to convey the friendly, warm atmosphere of this new, independent book store in the historic, Montford area of Asheville, NC.
Starting with an open book metaphor that included a book marker used as the site’s navigation system, photos were used that included customers enjoying the book store’s surroundings. Additionally, a slideshow was used to display locally-crafted items and a “What’s Happening” section announced upcoming book signings and musical events.

The website for Montford Books & More was just right for “sending the message” about the atmosphere we created in the bookstore. The site was visually appealing, easy to navigate and had a good balance of text and images. We received many compliments about the site.

Web site design, copy writing, brand development and site maintenance for a local, non-profit organization.
This site was to be the information hub for the events and activities of Friends and Neighbors of Swannanoa (FANS), a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the continual improvement of Swannanoa, NC. And to instill the spirit of volunteerism in the local community to help keep the town healthy and vibrant for years to come.
To that end the site included an “Upcoming Events” calendar system, regularly updated “Recent News” section and slide shows of all the major events sponsored by FANS and other local organizations.
The website is beautiful and easy to navigate, and will be a great resource for everyone in the Swannanoa community.
-Carol Groben, FANS Board Member
I feel like we took a huge leap forward by restructuring and designing the website – WOW it looks great!

Web site design, copy writing, brand development and site maintenance for an RV retirement community.
The purpose: To communicate to potential residents a vision of community life at Heritage Ranch in southern California. This would include community activities at Heritage Ranch, as well as trips and activities in the whole of California.
To communicate this vision, image display tools like 1) carousels of rotating sets of images, 2) slideshows, 3) youtube videos and 4) rotating text were utilized. Entire pages were dedicated to local activities like golfing, fishing and casino visits. Another page displays short travel log videos of trips to many of the great tourist spots all over the state.
The site was used for the marketing of Heritage Ranch on the local Chamber of Commerce visitors’ map and business card advertising.
